Future4care had the chance to talk with Dr. Rafaèle Tordjman, founder of the investment fund, Jeito.

  1. Rafaèle Tordjman is a Hemato-Oncology physician and scientist with a PhD in Molecular Biology and Immunology. 

  2. With this experience, Dr. Tordjman has been investing in biotech for over 20 years and has served on the board of directors of some of these companies. These investments have generated five approved products and approximately 20 drugs in late stage clinical development.  

  3. In 2018, Dr. Tordjman founded Jeito Capital, an independent investment firm dedicated to biotech in order to, establish a continuous funding model and invest in the next generation of medical innovation leaders.   Her ambition is driven by a deep knowledge of the healthcare industry and particularly of biotech.   By creating this fund, Dr. Tordjman proves, once again, the importance of the collaboration between the different players in the healthcare sector.    Jeito raised €534 million ($630 million) in September 2021, becoming the largest independent European life sciences fund.  

  4. In July 2021, Dr. Tordjman was appointed by French President Emmanuel Macron to promote the French biotech ecosystem to major international players. Her mission is to attract healthcare and medical innovation talents to the French ecosystem.  

  5. Dr. Tordjman supports Future4care in its mission to bring the ecosystem together to create a more cohesive healthcare system, with a view to creating the e-health solutions of tomorrow. "What is still to improve is how to work together, within an ecosystem, instead of working by silo. [...] It's exactly what Future4care wants to do".
